He was the son of Estill and Hazel (Ford) Bratcher. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Leitchfield. He graduated from Clarkson High School, Class of 1955, when he then began work at Mid-Valley Pipeline. He began work at Ford Motor Company in Louisville in December of 1964, and retired after 30 years of service in September of 1994.
Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Glenn loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Willis Bratcher; his son, Kevin (Regina) Bratcher; daughter-in-law, Patty Bratcher, all of Leitchfield, grandsons, Ryan (Erin) Bratcher of Leitchfield, Seth (Sierra) Bratcher of Smiths Grove, great-grandson, Hunter Bratcher, sister, Faye (Charles) Lively of Florida, brother, Eugene (Pauline) Bratcher of Clarkson, several nieces, and nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Bratcher, and two brothers, Larry and Roy Bratcher.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST, and on Friday 9:00 a.m.-8:00. p.m. CST, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Visitation will continue on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Leitchfield Family Life Center from 9:30 a.m. CST until time of service at 11:00 a.m. CST. Burial will follow in Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
