She was born in Pineville, KY on June 5, 1923 the daughter of the late: Bass and Bessie Rice Bailey of Bell County, KY
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband: James William Browning on July 22, 1966 by brothers and sisters Floyd Bailey, Ray Bailey, Harold Simpson, Betty Ruth Fulvio and Lucille Dunlap, also her son in law: Gary Pike in February 2015
Survived by one daughter: Vickie Browning Pike of Columbia, KY
Two brothers: Gene Simpson of Somerset, KY and Gerald Simpson of Nancy, KY
Two sisters: Janie Taylor of Lebanon, Ohio and Ann Taylor Ringsred of Duluth, Minnesota
Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive
Mrs. Browning was a member of the Columbia Christian Church were she served on the Missions Ministry Team for many years, she was a farmer and operated the Browning Farms for over 40 years, she was a long time member of the Adair County Democratic Women's Club and a member of the Columbia Womens's Club for many years.
