He attended and was a deacon at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Taylor County, KY. Gerald was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He farmed his entire life, and was also a talented and skilled craftsman.
He is survived by his wife Linda Colvin Rice, one son and daughter-in-law: Shane and Crystal Rice of Waleska, Georgia, one daughter and son-in-law: Tiffany and Scott Robinson of Elizabethtown, grandchildren: Zachery, Ben, Drew, Nick and Emmee, one sister: Linda Lou Gabehart of Campbellsville and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Carolyn and Bobby Roberts of Campbellsville, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
