
He was born November 27, 1944 in Marion County. He was a banker for 43 years starting at The Bank of Louisville, Bank of Loretto, and a beloved employee at Farmer’s National Bank from 1987-2011.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Cambron, his mother Emily Bickett Cambron; one sister Mary Ann O’Bryan; two brothers Terry and Carl Cambron.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janie Willett Cambron; five daughters, Terri Lynn Miles (Danny) and Renee Edelen (Greg) all of Loretto, Ramona Pulido (Luis) of Cincinnati, Regina Medley (Brian) of Raywick, Kimberly Cambron of Lexington; one son, Scott Cambron (Jessica) of Louisville; twelve grandchildren, Michael Smothers, Chris Smothers, Eric Miles, Taura Miles, Levi Haydon, Lincoln Haydon, Abby Miles, Camron Edelen, Eli Medley, Jake Medley, Emma Edelen, and Sophia Cambron; four sisters, Linda Hayden (Freddie) and Nina Daisey (Bill) all of Louisville, Pam Weinstock (Martin) of Lexington, and Patty Thomas (Sam) of Nashville, TN; one brother, Stanley Cambron (Phyllis) of Holy Cross.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Rd., Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Michael Smothers, Chris Smothers, Eric Miles, Levi Haydon, Lincoln Haydon, Brad O’Bryan, Ken Cambron, and Todd Cambron.
