Fern Oda Wright, age 77, of Danville, KY, departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her residence.
Fern was born on December 28, 1939 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Milton Mink and Ophie Bullock Mink.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Wayne (and Della) Wright of Danville, KY and Jesse Steven Wright of Ocala, FL; a brother, Ford Wayne Mink of Somerset, KY; a sister, Sophie “Sis” Rowe of Indianapolis, Ind; four grandchildren, Amanda Price, Randall Wright, Eric Wright and Tiffany Wright; three step grandchildren, Tina Webb, Tim Shelton and Jay Shelton; six great-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Wright, whom she married on December 15, 1956 in Somerset, KY and he preceded her on January 14, 2003; a brother, Ken Mink; and a sister, Cuba Bullock.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 after 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Humfleet officiating. Burial will be at Bullock-Mink Cemetery in Shopville, KY. Pallbearers will be Glenn Barnes, Roy Hines, Denny Barnes, Tim Shelton, Austin Webb, John Webb and Jay Shelton.
