Everett Mitchell Hughes, age 79, of Nancy, KY, departed this life on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his residence.
Everett was born on October 12, 1936 in Lothar, KY to the late James Everett Hughes and Louise Pennington Hughes. He was a Coal miner for W.M.P. Coal Company.
He is survived by a brother, Kenneth Hughes, of Stoney Point, MI.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sue Hughes, whom he married on August 12, 1960 in Sarah Ann, WV and she also passed away on January 23, 2016; a brother, Dallas Hughes, and two sisters, Ella B. Keith, and Norma Lea Hawkins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Dishman officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Garden in Chapmanville, West Virginia on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:00pm.
