Eva Mae Smothers, 88, of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Cedars of Lebanon. She was born on August 9, 1927 in Marion County, Ky.
She is preceded in death by: Husband-- James Smothers; Daughter-- Ruth Ann Hagy; Son-- Gary Lee Smothers Grandson-- Joseph Robert Hagy, III; Parents-- Arthur and Eva Farmer Mattingly; Four brothers-- Lloyd, Lucian, Bernard and J.W. Mattingly; Sister-- Hazel Tharp.
Surviving are: Three Daughters-- Shirley Mae Baird – Mt. Washington, Ky., Shelia (Tim) Gill – Lexington, Ky., Amy Jo Burnside – Bardstown, Ky.
Two Sons-- James Terry (Connie) Smothers—Cox’s Creek, Ky., John Arthur (Shirley) Smothers – Lebanon, Ky.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Jerry Albertson, with interment in the Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitations will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Bosley Funeral Home.
