Born August 4, 1915 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Cundiff and Ethel Bell Wesley Cundiff. She was a school teacher with 35 years of service to the community and was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Mrs. Zachary was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She loved flowers, gardening, and was an avid UK Wildcat fan.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Milton Clevo Zachary; two grandchildren, Terri Sparks and Greg Wilson; a great-grandson, Zachary Noble; two brothers, Emil and Edward Cundiff; and three sisters, Emogene Dye, Evelyn Cundiff and Elizabeth Cannon.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (and Judy) Zachary of Danville and Jerry (and Kathy) Zachary of Liberty; a daughter, Annetta Jean Smither of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren, Mike Smither, Dana Garlove, Kristi Bowlin, Kasey Adams, Kyle Zachary, Justin Zachary, and Nicolas Wisecarver; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Liberty United Methodist Church with Bro. Eric Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Liberty United Methodist Church.
