Edith was born on January 30, 1930 in Cains Store, KY., to the late Achullis “Rol” and Rosa Sumpter Pittman. She was a homemaker, loving wife and a wonderful mother to her son Wayne for all of his forty four years.
Edith is survived by her husband of sixty three years; Loyd Wheeler Jasper, who she married on April 4, 1954 in Rossville, GA., a brother; Raymond (and Betty) Pittman of Hickory Nut, KY., and two sisters; Gladys Mounce of Nancy, KY., and Ruth (and Tully) Turner of Somerset, KY.
Along with her parents, Edith is preceded in death by a son; Lloyd Wayne Jasper, a sister; Nellie Roy, a brother; Joe Pittman, a brother in-law; Howard Mounce, three half-brothers; Columbus Pittman, Ode Pittman, Shel Pittman, and a half-sister; Bess Pittman Hines.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Friday November 27, from 10:00am until time of services at Cedar Point Baptist Church.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11:00am at Cedar Point Baptist Church with Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
