She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel Church. She was a farmer, a homemaker, and was retired from being an inspector for the Fruit of Loom after 24 years.
She united in marriage to Kenneth Gordon Pickett on July 12, 1952, who preceded her in death on June 9, 1998.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Dewayne and Sherry Pickett, Stephen Dale and Reta Pickett, Alan and Joyce Ann Pickett all of Greensburg; grandchildren: Daniel and Christy Pickett, Ryan and Wendy Pickett, Katie and Stuart Tucker all of Greensburg, Chelsea and Jeff Coffey of Columbia, Natasha and Jordan Imlay of Versailles, Tara and Donald Trent of Edmonton, Jennifer and Jason Nevils of Indiana; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; a special cousin: Nadine McKinney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ms. Pickett was also preceded in death by a brother: Shelby Meadows.
The funeral services for Edith Belle Meadows Pickett will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ladies Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis and Bro. William Davenport officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M., until 8 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Thursday until time of the service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
