Dwight retired after 25 years from the USDA where he was a safety inspection officer. He had a deep and personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has been a faithful member of Lebanon United Methodist Church since December 1987. Dwight, a true servant, served in many capacities including Co-Volunteer leader of the youth group, Sunday School teacher, VBS Teacher and helper and served on or chaired several committees. Over the years he has prepared many meals for the Methodist Men and the Annual Legislative Prayer Breakfast. He has served on Emmaus Walks in the Campbellsville and Elizabethtown Emmaus Communities. Most recently, he served an integral part in establishing the church security team that he loved being a part of. He was also a member of the Gideons and was a Kentucky Colonel. He loved the outdoors, competition and target shooting, hiking, kayaking and riding his motorcycle. Because he believed all creation is important, Dwight had a love and compassion for people and animals that is rarely seen in today’s world. His love, compassion and humor will be greatly missed.
