Dwight Lee Meyer, 80 of the Cedar Grove Community of Green County, KY passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at 7:49 am at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY after several months illness
He was born June 30, 1930 in Bonne Terre, Missouri the son of the late: Adolf and Alta Frederick Meyer
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jean Carol Nettleship Meyer of Greensburg, KY Two sons: Mike Meyer of Greensburg, KY Mark Meyer and wife Cindy of Greensburg, KY Two daughters: Pamela Howard and husband Bill of Greensburg, KY Rhonda Hawks and husband Joe of Louisville, KY Eight grandchildren: Dakota Meyer, Matthew Meyer, , Stephen Danzinger, Troy Danzinger, Casey Ernst, Jennie Begley, Erin Meagher and Andrew Meagher Eight great grandchildren: Michael Danzinger, Maddy Danzinger, Haley Horn, Brett Ernst, Aubrey Ernest, Katlyn Begley, Lane Priddy, Emma Meagher
Mr. Meyer served in the United States Marine Corp as a navigator during the Korean War, he was the owner of Eady Construction and later founded and owned Meyer and Lewis Construction Company. Several of his notable projects include, "spaghetti junction" in Louisville and the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY and numerous facilities across the country. He was also an active farmer for 38 years.
