She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joe Mitchell, son James Nelson Mitchell, sisters and brothers: Sally Anderson, Columbus Haskins, Mary Lucy Johnson, Penick Haskins and Spencer Haskins.
She is survived by five sons: Ronald and Tina Davis Mitchell of Columbia, George R. Mitchell of Greensburg, Ralph E. and Patricia Mitchell of North Aurora, Illinois, Josiah “Jodie” and Teresa Mitchell of Campbellsville, Roderick “Rudy” Mitchell of Greensburg, two daughters: Phenelphia D. Williams of Batavia, Illinois and Catherine E. and Thomas Kleinfieldt of Aurora, Illinois, one step-son: Gary Harris of Bardstown, KY, one brother: Milton Ray and Mattie Haskins of Louisviile, twenty grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
