Donald Rozier Burke passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his home in Casey County, KY. He was 87.
Born March 7, 1928 in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of the late Fred and Jessie Beatty Burke. He was a retired electrician for Florida Power and Light with 42 years of service and a Marine Corps Veteran. Donald was a former deacon of the Trinity Baptist Church in Florida. He loved camping and family gatherings.
Survivors include a son, Don R. (and Virginia) Burke, Sr. of Liberty; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William “Billy” Thomas Burke of Florida and Freddie Burke of California; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve Burke, who died August 1, 2015.
Graveside services are 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery. Burial will follow service with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.
