
Donald was born on August 27, 1941, in New Castle, Ind, to the late Ralph Eugene Brown Sr. and Oleta Pearl Clark Brown. Donald attended the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in New Castle. He retired from General Motors after 33 years where he was in the Die Cast Department. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserves. Donald’s lifelong dream was to move to Pulaski County, build a cabin and live out his life on Lake Cumberland. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and building things. Donald was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge in New Castle, Ind, and a member of the United Auto Workers and the American Legion of Somerset.
He is survived by his wife, Judi Oaks Brown, whom he married on December 31, 1998 in Somerset; a son, Brian (and Angela) Brown of Pendleton, Ind; a daughter, Suzanne Brown-Harvey (Christopher Harvey) of Noblesville, Ind; a brother, Gary Brown of New Castle, Ind; two sisters, Patricia Brown Perkins of New Castle, Ind, and Barbara (and Tom) Perry of New Castle, Ind; five grandchildren, Macy Brown, Neil Brown, Zach Garner, Kelvin Harvey, and Nathaniel Harvey, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Brown Jr. and infant brother, Larry Brown.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Morrow Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes expressions of sympathy be made to the Faubush Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department.
