Dewayne attended Carr’s Chapel First Church of God, was an U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired sawmill machine operator. He was known as “Pops” working with his son at Cochran Masonary, he enjoyed farming and being with family.
Dewayne is survived by his wife, Velma Vaught Cochran who he has been married to for 65 years. One Son: Marvin Cochran, Two Daughters: Donna (Ira Jr.) Atwood, Janet (Darrell) Barlow all of Liberty, Six Grandchildren: Barry (Jodi) Atwood, Amy Barlow, Amanda (Jake) Eldridge, Ben (Maranda) Barlow, Celese Cochran and Marcus Cochran, Five Great Grandchildren: Conner, Addison, Isaiah, Rylee and River, Two Sisters: Nanette Carman of Bethelridge, KY and Wraylene Wilson of OH and Three Brothers: Marshall (Evelyn) Cochran of Liberty, Gile (Kathy) Cochran of Danville, KY and Travis (Linda) Cochran of OH.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by One Brother: Hansel Cochran and Two Sisters: Hazel Pennington and Jeanette Thomas.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Thursday May 30th, 2019 and after 8:00 A.M. Friday May 31st. 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 31st, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. David Holt and Bro. Jake Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Honor Guard.
