
Coye was born on October 30, 1921 in King Bee, KY, to the late Derbin and Nannie Spaw Dick. He was a retired Railway Clerk Supervisor and veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII and Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard, a 33rd Degree Mason and member of the Michigan Wolverine Masonic Lodge. Coye was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Mae Ricard Dick to whom he married in Detroit, MI over 65 years ago; two sons, Thomas Coye Dick of King Bee and Norman Gerard Dick of King Bee; a sister, Priscilla Dick of Taylor, MI; and a grandson, Jerimiah Armstrong Dick of King Bee.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Travis Dick and Norman Dick; an infant brother, Claude Dick; two infant twin daughters; and a sister, Lavern Dye.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
