Christine “Bobbie” Phelps passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home in Science Hill, KY. She was 84.
Born in June 24, 1931 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Abby Phelps Godbey. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors included 2 sons, Thomas Dale (and Melody) Phelps of Woodstock, KY and Wallace Keith(and Shannon) Phelps of Bethelridge; daughter, Joann (and Ronnie) Tharp of Junction City; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Phelps, who died November 21, 2005; and a sister, Josephine Spaw.
Graveside services are 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Valley Oak Cemetery with Bro. Gary Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow service.
Visitation is Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
