He was a retired truck driver for Kerns Bakery after 24 years of service and after retirement was a fishing guide on Dale Hollow Lake for five years. Cecil was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Highland Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Garner Young, one brother, Clayton Young, and two sisters, Hazel Prewitt and Dorothy Smith.
Survivors Include:
One Son- Dewyane Young and his wife Diane of Cottontown, TN
Two Daughters- Darlene Riddle and her husband Jimmy of Albany, KY and Karla Young and her husband DeWayne Mee of Burkesville, KY
8 Grandchildren- Scotty Young, Teschia Beaty, Deana Greene and her husband Jason, Scott Atchley and his wife Tanna, Susan Kessler and her husband David, Colten Mee, Dalton Mee, Sabrina Thacker
8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Modoc Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
