On May 13, 1961, she married Elbert “Woody” Barker and he survives. Sue was a longtime member of Belleville Free Will Baptist Church. She loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family, gardening, quilting, the outdoors and fishing.
In addition to her loving husband of almost 55 years, survivors include: two children, Pamela (Ronnie) Adams and Brian (Sue) Barker; three grandchildren, Kimberly Coleman, Matthew (Jennifer) Adams and Chelsea Barker; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Paislynn Adams; one sister Kelsie Poe; two brothers, Fred Viers and Luther (Darlene) Viers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, February 13, 2016 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. “Bud” Stidham officiating. Contributions in her memory may be made to the National Marfan Syndrome. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday. Burial will be in the Barker Family Cemetery in Casey County.
