Bryan was a lifelong farmer, an elder of McCormack Christian Church and board member of Foundation for Historic McCormack Meetinghouse, Director of PBK Bank, former part- owner/director of Boyle County Stockyards, Director of Lincoln County Farm Bureau and Director of Lincoln County Cattlemen’s Association. He was also the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Farmer of the Year in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Morris Cooper; son, Ronnie (Jennifer) Cooper of Stanford; daughters, Carla (Pat) Banta of Nicholasville and Ann (Tony) Honaker of Stanford; brother, Jimmy Cooper of Stanford; sister, Margaret Dunn of Hustonville; nine grandchildren: Kassi (Bryce) Danhauer, Wes-Lee Cooper, Lindsey (Andrew) Jarvis, Parker Banta, Devin Honaker, Cameron (Hannah) Honaker, Kelsi Honaker, Dana Wesley and Neal (Tara) Banta; and two great grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cooper and sisters, Virginia Schroader and Dorothy Bishop.
Service, will be at 12 noon Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Rev. Doug Simpson and Rev. Seth Adamson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are the Officers and Directors of PBK Bank: Scotty Robinson, Ronald Baird, Johnny Cooper, Bruce Johnson, Robert Bishop and Stanley Burris.
Visitation is 4-9 pm Friday at the funeral home and after 10 am Saturday.
