BERTHA HORSTMAN, 59 years of Columbia, KY ( the Flatwoods Community) of Adair County, KY passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:15 am at her home after several months illness.
She was born November 14, 1955 in Covington, KY the daughter of the late: Ray and Stella Blanche Perry Wilson of Adair County, KY besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Wilson, Albert Wilson, Johnny Wilson and by one sister Patricia England
Survived by one daughter Donna Jean Hatcher of Columbia, KY
One son: Donald "Buckwheat" Owen Beard II of Columbia, KY
One brother: Ben Wilson of Greensburg, KY
Two sisters: Marilyn Baker of Columbia, KY and Nellie Boone of New Haven, KY
5 grandchildren Tyler Smith, Trevor Smith, Tristen Beard, Taran Beard and Allie Beard
Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends survive
Bertha was a member of the Solid Rock Church in Russell Co. KY and a cosmetologist for 20 years in Nashville, TN and Columbia, KY
Funeral service: Friday, July 10, 2015 at 12 Noon at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Clergy officiating Bro. Wayne Keith
Interment in the Tarters Chapel Cemetery
Visitation after 4:30 pm on Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Nephews will serve as pallbearers
