Bernice Emerson, of Liberty, KY passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Harrodsburg Health Care. She was 84.
Born February 1, 1932 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Beckham and Sadie Goode Edwards. She was a homemaker. Bernice raised her children to be responsible and to work for a living.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Emerson of Liberty and Johnny (and Katrina) Emerson of Booneville, KY; two daughters, Nancy Hayes of Liberty and Lylia (and Michael) Atwood of Liberty; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Beckham Edwards, Jr. of Moreland and Gerald Edwards of Casey County.
Funeral services are 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Peavey Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Bruce, Terrell, Tony, Tim, Tom and Joey Edwards and Nick and Derrieck Hayes.
