Margaret grew up on a farm and attended schools in Monticello. As a teenager she moved to Lexington and worked at a theater where she met her husband. They eventually moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where they raised their 3 children and made many lifelong friends.
Her greatest joys in life were centered around her family - husband, children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She rejoiced in every effort, achievement, talent and success. She had a gift of making everyone feel like family because that's the way she saw them. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was happy and diligent in her many callings.
Margaret's surviving family will miss her so much-her devoted husband of 65 years, Bill Mason and their 3 children, Debra Mason Rowe (Jeff), Steven Bradley Mason (Patti) and Richard Alan Mason (Kris). She leaves 10 grandchildren who adored her, 14 great grandchildren, 2 younger sisters-Juanita Wampler and Barbara Phelan, along with numerous nieces and nephews who thought of her as a second mom.
She was preceded in death by her sweet parents, Wilburn and Ethel Coffey and her dear brother, Howard Coffey.
