November 18, 2015 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital
in Somerset. He was born July 20, 1921 in Russell County to
the late Jacob & Leona Emerson Cooper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a
brother, Jacob Earl Cooper and 2 sisters, Lola Ann Gadberry,
Amy Walters.
Survivors include
wife of 72 years: Lutha Gaskin Cooper
3 children: Patricia (John) Hutchason, Louisville, Ky; Michael (Hettie) Cooper, Dallas, Texas; and Johnny B. (Lila) Cooper, Russell Springs
3 grandchildren: Bradley & Melissa Cooper, Brian Hutchason
3 great grandchildren: Jamison & Kennedy Cooper, Brooklyn Hutchason
1 great great grandchild: Raylin Cooper
Funeral service for Amos Avon Cooper will be 2:30 PM. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Eld. Larold Gosser officiating.
Visitation 12:30 PM. Saturday.
Interment in the Salem Cemetery.
