Alvin Hitch, 76, of Russell Springs, died Friday at the Russell County Hospital Hospice Unit. He
was born May 4, 1939 in Adair County to the late Lonza & Vina Pike Hitch.
He was a former manager of Ben Franklin Store in Columbia and a salesman for Colonial Bread Co. He was a 50 year member of Russell Springs Lodge #941-F & AM.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Herbert, Howard, Dempsey, & Johnny Hitch and 2 sisters, Mary Shepherd, Lorena Shepherd.

son: Rodney (Belinda) Hitch, Morehead, Ky
2 grandchildren: Jared Hitch, Lexington, Ky and Trevor Hitch, Morehead, Ky
2 sisters: Edna Bennett, Birmingham, Alabama and Callie Clark, Richmond, Virginia
Funeral service for Alvin Hitch will be 10 AM. Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Johnson officiating.
Visitation 4-8 PM. Sunday
Burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. These can be made at the funeral home.
