According to the Commonwealth Journal a male in his 20’s was killed as a result of the two-vehicle accident on Fishing Creek Bridge along the Cumberland Parkway on Tuesday at around 3:30 p.m. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that although a helicopter landed and departed from the scene, the victim was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital instead. Coroner Clyde Strunk confirmed that the victim was deceased. The male was one of three individuals in a pick-up truck that collided with a backhoe vehicle on the bridge that had apparently been working on a rock slide. The other two occupants in the truck involved in the accident received minor injuries in crash.
Further details will be released later today by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
