Upon locating that male, he was identified as Joshua Arnold, 40, of Columbia.
After a roadside investigation, Arnold was determined to be under the influence and was advised to place his hands behind his back.
It’s at that point that Arnold pulled away, attempted to elude his arrest and a struggle ensued.
He was taken into custody without injury.
Upon Arnold’s arrest, suspected Fentanyl was located, along with marijuana.
Arnold was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (1st degree Fentanyl), Possession of Marijuana, Public Intoxication (Excludes Alcohol) and Resisting Arrest.
K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten was the arresting officer.
