The Metcalfe County Grand Jury has returned the following indictments:

Justin Micheal Neal, age 32 of Edmonton, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Micheal McCallister, age 43 of Edmonton, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Lisa C. Jackson, age 30 of Summer Shade, on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, Meth.

Eldon Stewart Gunderson, age 44 of Cave City, on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, Hydrocodon, 2nd Offense.

Marilyn Nicole Hiser, age 27 of Edmonton, on charges of Unlawful Access to a Computer, Theft By unlawful taking, and Identity Theft.

Arlie Joe Grubb, age 30 of Burkesville, on charges of Fleeing or Evading Police, Reckless Driving, Disregarding Stop Sign, Improperly on Left Side of Road, Improper Passing, Failure To Illuminate Head Lamps, Driving Too Fast For Traffic Conditions, and Careless Driving.

Routine traffic stop leads to two drug arrest

On August 29th, 2018 at approximately 9:31 PM EST, Trooper Scott Curry was on routine patrol when he observed a black, 2017 dodge pickup truck travelling west bound on Hodgenville Rd at a high rate of speed. Trooper Curry initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver of the pickup, Sara Hartman age 29 and a passenger, Justin Ratliff, age 31, both of Campbellsville. Upon contact Trooper Curry noticed that both subjects appeared to be under the influence. When he asked both subjects to step out of the vehicle he observed Ratliff trying to conceal something in his pocket. After searching Ratliff Trooper Curry located a glass smoke pipe in his pocket with suspected methamphetamine residue in it. Trooper Curry then searched the vehicle and located another glass smoke pipe, straws, several small baggies and approximately 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Hartman was arrested and charged with speeding 23 MPH over, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card, DUI 1st, failure to wear seatbelts and tampering with physical evidence. Ratliff was charged with public intoxication, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine,) possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to wear seatbelts and tampering with physical evidence. Both subjects were lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.

The Barren County Grand Jury has returned the following indictments:

Johnny Steven London, age 47 of Edmonton, on charges of Flagrant Non-Support.
Larry Kevin Oakley, age 37 of Glasgow and an Edmonton minor, on charges of of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Joshua Lee Sanders, age 30 of Cave City, on charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing or Evading Police, Reckless Driving, Speeding over the limit 26 mph or more, and Persistent Felony Offender.

Joseph Micheal Sherk, age 36 of Cave City, and Elizabeth Ann Adams, age 37 of Brownsville, were indicted on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, Meth, Wanton Endangerment, Possesion of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, Hydrocodon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.

David Jason Billingsley, age 34 of Summer Shade, on charges of Receiving Stolen Property and Persistent Felony Offender.

Frances D. Clinard, age 26 of Nashville, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUI, No License, Possesion of Marijuana, No Insurance, And Expired Plates.

Timothy Ron Kirby, age 31 of Glasgow, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Methylphenidate.

Steven Lucas Emoady, age 29 of Bowling Green, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Oxycodone/Amphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating on a Suspended License, Displaying a False License, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt.

Marissa A. Stutzman, age 29 of Smiths Grove, on charges of Possesion of Synthetic Drugs, 2nd or Subsequent Offense.

Christina Louise Pacheco, age 39 of Glasgow, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth, Tampering with Physical Eveidence, and Promoting Contraband.

Eric Ray Sturgeon, age 37 of Oakland, on charges of Trafficking in a Controled Substance, 1st Degre-Meth, and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Hydrocodone, Trafficking a Controlled Substance, LSD, Possession of a Handgun By Convicted Felon, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor, Trafficking in Marijuana, Trafficking in Legend Drugs, Fleing or Evading Police, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia., and 3 Class A Misdemeanors.

Damen Chad Miller, age 31 of Glasgow, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Troy Allen Vibbert, age 26, and Christy L. Embry age 27-both of Glasgow, on charges of Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia and Violating Conditions of Release. Additionally, Vibbert is charge with Trafficking in a Controled Substance, 1st Degre-Meth, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Embry was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth.

Christie G. Creek, age 44 of Glasgow on charges of Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth.

Brittney L. Veal, age 27 of Canmer, on charges of Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth.
Joshua M. Ballard, age 38 of Glasgow, on charges of Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth.

Billie Joe Johnson, age 38 of Glasgow, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degre-Meth, and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Alprozolam.

Christopher Lee Sutton, age 25 of Glasgow, Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree-Meth, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Alprozolam, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Early morning traffic stop results in Adair County man being arrested on drug charges.

On  08-27-18 at 12:30 a.m. Ofc. Jamie Cole initiated a traffic stop on a 2001 BMW for a registration violation.   Upon roadside interview it was found the operator had a suspended operators license and was in possession of marijuana in the vehicle. 

     Arrested was Dioulde Niane  age 22 of Columbia on charges of: 
      Operating on Suspended Drivers license

Four Arrested Monday on Meth and Other Charges

Four people were arrested on various methamphetamine and other charges just before
noon on Monday, according to the Russell County Sheriff’s Department.

Members of the sheriff’s department, Russell Springs Police Department and Kentucky
State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Voils Rd. in Russell Springs.

The joint investigation and search resulted in three people being arrested for
Trafficking in Methamphetamine, one person arrested for Possession of Meth, and more
than four ounces of “crystal meth” bring seized along with $3,978 in cash.
Those arrested and the criminal charges they are now facing include:
• Mary Jo Brown, 51, was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree
(meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
• Bobby G. Smith, 54, was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st
Degree (meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prescription Controlled Substance
Not In Proper Container and Driving on an Expired Operators License
• Daniel Joe Brown, 39, was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st
Degree (meth)
• Daron McQueary, 40, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree
(meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All four were processed and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. More
charges are likely when additional evidence is presented to a future session of the
Russell County Grand Jury.

Officers involved in the investigation, search and arrests include: Sgt. Mark
Cromwell, Sgt. Evan Burton and K-9 Matt, Detective Joey Hoover and K-9 Maxo, and
Deputy Nathan Ginn of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department; Sgt. Chasity Shirley,
Officer Ethan Pike and Officer Lucas Justice of the Russell Springs Police
Department; Trooper Martin Wesley, Trooper Jordan Carter and Trooper Adam Likins of
the Kentucky State Police and Officer Zach Carney with the Kentucky Department of
Fish and Wildlife.

Sheriff's Office investigate Two vehicle accident

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 4:39PM Adair County E911 Center received a call of a two vehicle auto accident involving a motorcycle 4 miles east of Columbia on Liberty Road. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded and was able to determine that a 2008 Toyota car driven by Karen Terry of Columbia had came to a stop on Liberty Road when she saw a vehicle in front of her stopped attempting a left turn onto Beulah Chapel Road. A 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle being operated by Jonathan Neat of Columbia was unable to stop the motorcycle behind her and hit the Terry vehicle.  Jonathan Neat was transported to TJHC by Adair County EMS and airlifted to University of Kentucky hospital. A passenger of the motorcycle, Amanda Foster of Columbia was transported to TJHC and was treated and released.  Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Brandon Hitch were the investigating Officers.

Columbia Police Arrest Adair County Man on Identity Theft And Drug charges.

On 8-28-18 while on patrol K-9 Officer John Dial located a white male sitting inside truck in the area of Dahomey Trace.  Occupant appeared to be asleep or passed out .  Officer initiated contact with occupant to check on them and it was determined he was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

    Officer Dial deployed his K-9 Gunny after his investigation revealed their may Be Controlled Substance in Vehicle.  The K-9 gave a positive indicator on location of drugs and marijuana was recovered from the vehicle.   Occupant was also found to be in possession of another persons identification cards and financial information. 

   Corey Polk age 28 was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of 

Public Intoxication ( excludes alcohol)
Theft of Identity 
Possession of open alcoholic beverage in public prohibited  
Possession of Marijuana 

Officer Dial and K-9 Gunny are investigating officers

Adair Sheriff's Office arrest one on several charges after short chase

The Adair County Sheriff's Office reports Monday August 27,2018 around 12:07pm central time. Adair County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Hitch was at a location on Carrie Bolin drive attempting to locate a male subject with arrest warrants. When he noticed a male subject setting in a black jeep acting suspicious. When Deputy Hitch approached the vehicle and asked the male to stop he started the vehicle and fled striking another parked vehicle. Deputy Hitch pursued the vehicle and was able to get a visual on it. The vehicle traveled East on Russell Springs Road turning onto Christine Road then traveled to New Concord Road when the vehicle lost control striking a tree. The male subject exited the vehicle and ran a short distance before he was detained.

Arrested was 31 year old Jeffrey
 Iames of Columbia. Iames was charged with fleeing evading police in a motor vehicle 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree police officer, leaving the scene of a accident, reckless driving, fleeing evading police on foot 2nd degree, and driving without a license. Iames was arrested and lodged in The Adair County Jail by, Deputy Brandon Hitch.
