The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 2 investigated a single vehicle collision that occurred Monday at 3:58 p.m. CST on Greensburg Road, 2 miles east of Edmonton. 48-year-old Robert Slagle of Bronston, KY was operating a 2014 Freightliner traveling westbound on Greensburg Road. Slagle ran off the roadway causing the trailer to overturn.
Slagle and a passenger, 25-year-old Jordan Harness, of Somerset, were both belted and were transported to T J Samson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Senior Officer Adam Davis is investigating and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Hedgespeth, Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, EMS and Rescue. The Adair Co. Hospital District Board of Trustees will meet this evening at 6:30 p.m.CT at the hospital.

Adjourn A Russell Co. woman was arrested Sunday night for endangering a minor and disorderly conduct.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. last evening, 31-year-old Sheena David of Jamestown, Ky. was arrested at ABC Apartments on Airport Road in Jamestown, Ky. on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Disorderly Conduct. The investigation was conducted by Russell Co. Deputy Sheriff Evan Burton, Deputy Sheriff Ethan Pike and Jamestown Police Officer Dustin Bunch. David was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. An Adair Co. man was arrested early this morning (Monday) following a brief foot pursuit.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., 41-year-old Troy Doss of Columbia, Ky. was arrested and lodged in the Russell Co. Detention Center. Doss was wanted on a Parole Violation warrant from Adair Circuit Court and had fled from Russell Co. Deputy Nick Bertram last Thursday evening in the Beckham Ridge community of Russell Springs, striking Deputy Bertram with his pickup truck in doing so. Acting on information received early this (Monday) morning, Deputy Evan Burton, Deputy Mark Cromwell, Deputy Ethan Pike and Russell Springs Police Officer Jeremy West went to an apartment complex off U.S. 127 North in search of Doss. Moments after their arrival, Doss fled the apartment on foot. A brief chase ensued with Doss being taken into custody. Doss was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on Parole Violations, Fleeing or Evading Police on Foot, Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree-Methamphetamine. This past Saturday, October 26, 2015 your Adair County Band traveled to Pulaski County to compete in a KEMA competition.
Adair County scored Top honors with Grand Champion and these top awards, Best Music, Best Visual Performance, Best Percussion and Best Color Guard. Congratulations to the Adair County Band. Russell County Band took home Reserve Grand champion. The Bands next competition is Saturday, Oct 3, 2015 at Taylor County High School. The Adair County Indians football team traveled Friday night, Oct 26, to Louisville, Ky to take on Kentucky Country Day.

The undefeated Blue Raiders moved up one spot from No. 2 to No. 1 after receiving 338 total voting points and 12 first-place votes. The move to the top of the rankings came after a bye week for Lindsey Wilson, but former No.1-ranked Morningside (Iowa) slipped three spots to No. 4 after suffering their first loss of the season on Thursday. After coming into 2015 with a No. 7 preseason ranking, the 3-0 Blue Raiders have climbed in each poll moving from No. 7 to No. 3, No. 3 to No. 2, and now from No. 2 to No.1. Behind Lindsey Wilson is Southern Oregon at No. 2 with 310 points and one first-place vote, and fellow Mid-South Conference West Division member Faulkner (Ala.) at No. 3 with 308 points and one first-place vote.
