Deputy Evan Burton’s preliminary investigation determined that a 2006 Ford Escape operated by Robin Doss, 41, of Russell Springs, was on the wrong side of the roadway and struck head-on a 1998 Chevrolet truck being driven by Jarrod Hadley, 29, of Jamestown.
The wreck occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Wooldridge School Road, about four miles south of Jamestown.
Deputy Burton located Doss in a nearby wooded area after she attempted to flee the accident scene.
Doss was transported by Russell County EMS to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset for treatment of a fractured ankle and other possible injuries.
Hadley was taken by private vehicle to the Russell County Hospital for examination and treatment.
Deputy Burton’s investigation is continuing. Criminal charges against Doss are forthcoming.
