Just before 8:30 p.m., Deputy Burton conducted a traffic stop on a Saturn SUV on Lakeway Drive in Russell Springs.
The roadside investigation, including utilizing K-9 Matt, resulted in “methamphetamine” being found on Lorrie L. Carroll, 25, of Jamestown inside a handbag in the vehicle. Additionally scales and other drug paraphernalia items were found.
Carroll was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth), 2 or more grams and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Two other persons, one male and one female, were taken into custody on Russell District Court warrants for failure to appear and/or pay fines on previous charges.
