According to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office a 17 year old male fell more than 100 feet from a guardrail viewing area on the Lake Cumberland side of Wolf Creek Dam. South Russell Fire Chief Roger Dale Coffee said the teen was partially in the water when reached by boat by members of the South Russell Fire Department and Russell County Emergency Medical Services.
Reports go on to say the teen suffered several lacerations, including a severe head laceration, and possible broken bones. He was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.
