Upon arrival of first-responders, the body of Montie Hale Pendleton, 66, of Dunnville, was laying in the driveway. Montie Pendleton had been shot once in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Coots.
The victim’s son, Eric Wayne Pendleton, 39, of Russell Springs, was arrested for Murder and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
An autopsy will be performed on the body of Montie Pendleton today (Saturday) at the state medical examiner’s office in Frankfort.
The investigation is continuing by the Russell County Coroner’s office, Russell County Sheriff’s Department and Kentucky State Police.
