Upon Deputies arrival, a preliminary investigation determined that Cheri Shepherd, 58, of Jamestown, was traveling South in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, while Arlis Kearns, 81, of Columbia, was traveling East on Old Glens Fork Road.
Kearns stopped at the intersection of Kentucky Highway 55 South and Old Glens Fork Road, attempted to make a left hand turn and traveled into the path of Shepherd.
The collision caused Shepherd’s vehicle to flip numerous times, before coming to rest upright.
Kearns was treated and released on scene.
Shepherd was transported by Adair County EMS to T.J. Health Columbia for her injuries.
Deputy Derek Padgett is the investigating officer and was assisted on scene by Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman, Deputy Jason Camfield, Adair County EMS, and the Adair County Fire Department.
