Volunteers can identify their cleanup area and pick up supplies (gloves, bags, safety vests, insect repellant wipes, and sunscreen) upon registration. When volunteers have finished cleaning up their area each team's leader will return to the Annex to report the number of bags picked up.
The fiscal court will pay for the disposal of all bags at the Adair County Transfer Station.
Donuts, fresh fruit, milk, orange juice, and water will be served during registration. Students in BETA and National Honor Society at Adair County High School will be on hand to paint faces for participating children. Door prizes donated by local businesses will be given away to volunteers.
The cleanup is presented as a joint effort between the Adair County Fiscal Court, Lindsey Wilson College, and the City of Columbia.
REVISED: In the event of rain, volunteers will meet in the Annex Basement to pick up supplies, receive instructions, and enjoy doughnuts. At 8 a.m. we will begin drawing names from the list of volunteers to win door prizes! If it is raining each team can take their supplies and start their pick up when the rain moves out of the area later that day or the following day. After completing their cleanup, the team captain can call the number provided in their safety packets.
