With information obtained during the investigation Monday evening and during the initial few minutes of the traffic stop, investigating officers requested assistance from County Attorney Kevin Shearer with preparation of a Search Warrant for the suspect and his vehicle, a 1999 Chevrolet truck.
The investigation and search resulted in the seizure of more than a half ounce of “Crystal Methamphetamine”, a tactical 9 mm semi-automatic firearm, digital weighing scale and $1,291.00 cash.
Christopher Foster, 20, of Nancy was arrested on a charge of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) over 2 Grams (while in possession of a firearm), a Class “B” Felony.
The investigation was conducted by Det. Joey Hoover and Sgt. Mark Cromwell of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department, Officer Nathan Bradshaw of the Russell Springs Police Department and State Trooper Marvin Blakey.
Foster was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
