The Blue Raiders collected a total of 274 voting points from the panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. LWC continues to be a mainstay in the poll and has now been ranked for 55-consecutive rating periods dating back to the first week of the 2013 season.
Lindsey Wilson is coming off a top-10 victory on Saturday in which they defeated then No. 10-ranked Southeastern (Fla.) 43-30 at Blue Raider Stadium. Blake Ingleton ran for a career-high 168 rushing yards and added a 99-yard kick return for touchdown, while the Blue Raider defense came up with four takeaways including a trio of interceptions.
The top five teams in the poll all went unchanged as defending national champion Saint Francis (Ind.) maintained the top spot in the poll with 340 total voting points and all 15 first-place votes. Baker (Kan.) is No. 2 with 327 points and Reinhardt (Ga.) is No. 3 with 311 points. Morningside (Iowa) (No. 4 with 301 points) and Montana Tech (No. 5 with 290 points) round out the top five.
Also from the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division, Georgetown (Ky.) is up to No. 12 and Cumberland (Tenn.) is No. 22.
