The vehicle was thought to contain suspects that were wanted in connection to a robbery in Mobile, Alabama. Kentucky State Troopers Jonathan Coppersmith, Daniel Leonard and Hardin Co. Deputy Sheriff Jacob Duke stopped the vehicle on I-65 at the 90 mile marker. They were then able to take Jessica Harris (21) and Sharika Sanders (24), both of Mobile, Alabama into custody and place them under arrest without incident. Both females were charged with being a fugitive from another state.
Harris was also charged with operating on a suspended license and child restraint violations. Both subjects were lodged in the Hardin Co. Detention Ctr. Three children, ages 6, 4 and 1 month who were also in the vehicle, were placed into the custody of Social Services.
