Firemen responded to Highway 832 (off of Hales Highway) to a story and a half farmhouse that was unoccupied. According to Jamestown Fire Chief Jeff Landers, the home was being used for storage at the time of the blaze. The structure was fully engulfed in flames when firemen arrived on scene and was a total loss according to Landers. The structure had no electric and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The investigation into the cause is ongoing.
Chief Landers tells WJRS News, that there were 14 firemen on scene for about 2 hours.
