Westbound Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway traffic wanting to exit onto U.S. 127 in Russell Springs (Exit 62) will begin using the newly constructed exit ramp. Motorist will no longer travel underneath the U.S. 127 overpass and use the current exit ramp. Traffic will now begin their exit from the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway prior to reaching the U.S. 127 overpass.
All other ramps will remain the same at this time. Motorists are advised to use caution and pay close attention to signage. Traffic traveling the new exit ramp will now be making a left turn for southbound U.S 127 and a right turn for northbound U.S. 127. The new exit ramp will be in close proximity to the current temporary entry ramp for those entering the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway westbound toward Columbia.
Motorists are reminded that speed limits are reduced along the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway as well as U.S. 127 between mile points 17.1 – 18.1 and the Parkway remains reduced to one lane between mile points 61 – 63 both east and westbound. Expect flaggers and construction personnel to be working in close proximity to traffic flow. Appropriate caution is required. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
