The property was allegedly obtained from the State Department of Defense’s 1033 program while Martin was responsible for making and submitting the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office online requests from the program. Two all-terrain vehicles, a dual axle camper and an ice maker were among the items alleged to have been acquired by Martin as part of this scheme. He could face as much as 20 years in jail, a 250,000 dollar fine and 3 years of supervised release. He will also be required to make restitution to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. A sentencing hearing has been set for August 14th, 2018. Martin is also a former officer with the Glasgow Police Department and was an officer with the Horse Cave Police Department in Hart County when the investigation into his alleged illegal activities began.
