Preliminary investigations indicate that 29 year-old Dennis Rowe of Columbia was operating a 2007 Mack Dump Truck traveling north on KY 55. Rowe’s vehicle dropped off the shoulder of the roadway, when he attempted to regain control, the load of rock he was carrying shifted causing the vehicle to overturn. KY 55 was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the collision.
Rowe was wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision and was transported to T. J. Health Hospital by the Adair County EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
Sergeant Randy Honeycutt is investigating and was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department, EMS and Kentucky Highway Department.
