At 11:54 a.m. Campbellsville Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a residence at 304 Peterson Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire conditions located in the rear of the house. Firefighters extinguished the fire and perfomed a primary search and rescued 2 dogs in respitory distress. Firefighters administered oxygen and revived the two dogs. There were no human injuries. The two dogs are expected to recover. There were 17 firemen and 4 apparatus on the scene for two hours. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
