Jeremy D. Summarell, 44, of Louisville was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography, a Class D felony.
This investigation began when Summarell uploaded several exploitative photos of a minor family member to a foreign file sharing website and requested others to share similar images with him.
Beshear’s investigators also located child pornography images and videos on devices belonging to Summarell. These devices and other storage media related to this investigation were seized for further examination.
Agents with the Department of Homeland Security assisted the Office of the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit with the arrest.
“I appreciate the work of our cyber investigators and the Department of Homeland Security for assisting with this case,” said Beshear. “It is one of our core missions to ensure our children are protected from those who seek to exploit and abuse them.”
