Upon arrival Deputy Tweedy came into contact with Bonnie Johnson of Barbourville KY.
The vehicle being a 2015 Toyota Prius was also found to be the same vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident earlier that morning.
During investigation it was found that Johnson was manifestly under the influence of alcohol and or intoxicating substances. She was transported to TJ Hospital by the Sheriffs Office after she refused EMS treatment.
She was admitted and later transferred to University of Louisville for injuries received in the collision. She was charged with
- operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol
- possession of a controlled substance 2 nd degree
- prescription controlled substances not on proper container
-possession of open alcoholic container inside motor vehicle
- reckless driving
-improper equipment
-wanton endangerment.
