“Keri served as assistant coach for us last season and did a great job,” Pooler said. “I was extremely pleased when she expressed interest in becoming our head coach. She was a successful collegiate cheerleader who loves to share her knowledge of the sport with her students.”
As an assistant coach with the program a season ago, Legg helped guide the Blue Raiders to a fourth-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championships. The Blue Raiders had two All-MSC First Team selections, two All-MSC Second Team selections, the MSC Freshman of the Year and eight Academic All-MSC honorees.
While attending Western Kentucky University, Legg was a member of the Hilltopper cheerleading squad and a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority while earning Dean’s List honors.
She has also worked as an administrative assistant with Massey Springs Assisted Living and as a store manager at Apricot Lane Boutique.
Legg graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and minor in health education.
“She understands our mission and cares deeply for our student-athletes,” Pooler said. “We are fortunate to have her lead our program.”
