The Sheriffs Office had received multiple complaints and tips called in of possible drug trafficking in area and had initiated an investigation into the complaints. Deputies established probable cause to believe there was narcotics on the property and after further investigation a search was granted on the property.
Located was a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, Heroin , fentanyl and marijuana . Over a pound of the substances was seized and will be sent to KY State Police Crime Lab for positive ID. The street value of drugs are up to 30,000 dollars depending on quantity it is packaged in.
Arrested was Alex Howard, 42, of Columbia on charges:
1- trafficking in a controlled substance 1 st degree methamphetamine
2- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree heroin
3- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree fentanyl
4- possession of marijuana
5 possession drug paraphernalia
6 - endangering welfare of minor
7- outstanding warrant of indictment from Metcalfe County
Ronald Hayden, 42 , of Columbia on charges of:
1- trafficking in a controlled substance 1 st degree methamphetamine
2- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree heroin
3- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree fentanyl
4- possession of marijuana
5 possession drug paraphernalia
6 - endangering welfare of minor
Cherish Gilbert, 32, of Campbellsville
1- trafficking in a controlled substance 1 st degree methamphetamine
2- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree heroin
3- trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree fentanyl
4- possession of marijuana
5 possession drug paraphernalia
6 - endangering welfare of minor
7- outstanding warrant of arrest out Jefferson County
8- outstanding warrant of arrest Taylor County
