On their approach to the residence, Josh Burton, 25, fled out the door and into the woods.
Burton disobeyed commands to stop as officers gave chase.
He was then captured by K-9 Deputy Staten.
Upon his capture, Burton resisted arrest, but was taken into custody with no injuries.
He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
Burton was lodged in the Adair Regional Jail on charges of Resisting Arrest, Fleeing and Evading Police (2nd degree) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st degree Methamphetamine).
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
