Community Outreach Cordinator Mark Fudge said,"we have been overwhelmed by the number of churches, businesses, and individuals that have stopped by to either make deliveries or to volunteer their time. It is just another example of the generosity of the people of Adair County."
According to Relay Center Coordinator Denise Fudge a record number of volunteers assisted with the project. Over 200 individuals volunteered more than 330 hours at the relay center during the eight days of collection week.
The boxes that were processed at the Wheet Fellowship Hall relay center left the parking lot today (Tuesday) in route to their next destination which is Boone, North Carolina. The boxes will later be shipped to children in Colombia, Botswana, South Sudan, Rwanda, and Ukraine.
